    20th October 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    A new after-school Enrichment session is starting on Fridays - Minecraft Club - run in H17 from 2.30 to 3.30pm by Mrs Hudson.

    Students will be able to use the IT facilities in H17 to mine, build, and take on the stories in the computer game world of Minecraft.

    The Academy has today been informed by education transport at METRO that, with effect from 30/10/17 (immediately after the half-term break), the Aberford bus (X64) morning service will arrive at each bus stop five minutes earlier than the current pick-up time. T

    19th October 2017 - Whetley Academy

    Congratulations to all the children from Nursery to Year 6, who have been awarded Star Achievers badges and certificates for this first half term.  Many of our children have excelled in Maths, Reading, Writing, Oracy, Sport, Attendance & being a fantastic role model. 

    Thank you to all the parents who came and gave the children lots of support in the Special Assemblies this morning.

  • S75 Bus Service

    18th October 2017 - Garforth Academy

    The Academy has received a communication from the transport provider ‘Square Peg’ who operate the S75 service. With effect from Monday 30/10/17 the S75 service will be known as the number 9. All students will be required (and always have been) to carry a yellow boarding card as well as a half-fare pass if appropriate. METRO have provided a link from which to access the application for the requisite pass.

    Rehearsals are now well under way for our 'Night at the Musicals' on Tuesday 19th October. The show which is narrated by the three fictional directors 'Henry, Margo and Sandra' has numbers from Wicked, Legally Blonde, Les Miserables plus many more.

  • Tickhill Lions Poster Competition

    18th October 2017 - Serlby Park Academy

    Each year Tickhill and District Lions hold a free fireworks event, which this year will be held at Tickhill Cricket Club from 5pm on Saturday 4th November. 

    This year they have invited our pupils to design a firework and bonfire safety poster to educate children about the dangers associated with Bonfire Night. They have also kindly offered £50 towards prizes for the winning entries. 

    All completed posters should be handed into the library no later than Wednesday 25th October.

  • Rhymecraft

    18th October 2017 - Serlby Park Academy

    Rhymecraft is the brand new Serlby Park poetry competition for 7 - 11 year olds with an open theme that will appeal to all ages and abilities. 

    This latest library competition takes imagination to the next level by engaging our pupils with poetry and showing them how to build their poems in Minecraft style.

    It's fun, easy to take part and our pupils could see themselves as published poets. 

    There are great prizes for schools and pupils and a free bookmark and sticker for everyone who enters.

  • Harvest Festival

    17th October 2017 - Willow Green Academy

    A big thank you to all the parents and children who brought in items for our Harvest Festival. We had a fabulous assembly, led by Mrs O'Gara and Father Edward. Mrs Measham from the Knottingley food bank also attended to collect all the donations. The children sang beautifully and everyone enjoyed it very much.
